My Copywriting Secrets For Business Explosion



















Maria was a copywriter for Mark Joyner and 
she has incredible insight about creating copy that sells. 

I'll review one chapter from the email marketing section of 
her book. You can immediately put these tips into action when 
you write your next email and you will boost your response. 


Seven Elements to Emails that Sell 

1. The Subject Line 

Yes, I know, you know, how important the subject line is to 
getting your email opened. But Maria has some insight you'll 
want to apply to the next email subject line you write. 

Do this quick exercise. Go back to your email inbox, check 
your email. Look over the messages. 

What message do you want to open? How did you decide on 
that message? 

Most likely you scanned the subject lines and picked out the 
one's that looked interesting. Next, I'll bet you glanced at the 
"From" address to see if it looked like it was from a person 
you recognized or a spammer. If it looked legit, than that was 
the message you clicked. 

So what subject line grabbed your attention? 

I'll bet it sounded personal. 

Maria explains that one key to getting emails opened is to be 
personal. No, this does not mean personalizing the subject line 
with the recipient's first name. 

Rather it means writing a subject line you might write to a 
friend, colleague, relative. Emails that look to be personal
rather than commercial, get opened first.
 

Here are 3 tips to give your subject lines a personal friendly tone: 

a. Use words that make a reader curious so they'll open your 
email to find out more. Try out these 

* This 
* Here 
* About your 

b. Include a dot, dot, dot at the end of your subject line. This 
technique encourages a reader to want to know more. It also 
works to make a reader curious to open the email to find out 
the rest of your headline. 

c. Write an incomplete thought. Again, a partial thought 
makes makes a reader curious. As a result they'll open the 
email to read more. 

An essential point to remember with these techniques is to 
avoid deception. Once you get a reader to open your message 
be sure the rest of your email relates to the topic you raised in 
your subject line. 

2. The Email Intro 

Now that you've gotten the reader to open your email. You 
have to get them to read the rest of your message. And it's 
your first sentence that makes or breaks you. 

The key again is to be personal. When you write your email, 
write it to a friend. Have a picture of the friend in mind and 
write as though you're talking to her and only her. 

A good strategy is to start by saying hello and mention what's 
going on with you. Remember email is a relationship building 
marketing tool. So use it to build relationships. When you talk 
briefly about yourself, your readers come to know and like 
you. When your readers like you they'll read your emails and 
they''ll be more likely to buy from you. 

3. Be Focused 

You're busy and so are your readers. So keep your messages 
brief. Put the most important information at the beginning of your emails. Keep the notices about subscribing /leaving, etc 
at the bottom. 

Remember, MECLABS has found that readers spend only 15-20 
seconds on each email they open so you want the first screen 
of your email to count. Put your most important marketing 
message there and/or list powerful benefits that will entice the 
reader to read more. 

4. Single Goal 

Your email should have only one message with one goal. 
What is the one end result you want to achieve from the 
recipient? Is it to click on a link? Send for a free report? 

Make sure your message sticks to achieving that one goal. 
Leave out multiple links to various offerings. Don't include 
multiple messages and/or articles. The more you put into your 
email the more distracted the reader will become. Stay focused 
on your one goal and you'll achieve the best results. 

Maria provides a great tactic on how to have only one message 
in your email. She recommends before you begin, write out 3 
words that summarize your message. Keep your message 
focused on conveying the meaning of those 3 words and don't 
stray! 

5. Give Back 

You have to be sure to thank your reader for opening up and 
reading your message. 

How do you do this? 

Provide a valuable commodity to the reader in exchange for 
the attention she paid to your email. You could provide a free 
one page report, a short video or a useful resource. Other 
possibilities are to include a discount or coupon or special 
offer. Give back value to the reader and they'll reward you 
with their business. 

6. What's In It For Me! 

Don't forget to write about the benefits of taking advantage of 
your offer. Yes, you're providing a valuable offer and the 
reasons for taking advantage of the offer may seem obvious to 
you. But remember it's benefits that sell. You have to 
demonstrate to the reader why the offer will be so helpful to 
her. So tell the reader what's in it for her. 

7. Act Now 

You've shared your great offer and explained how the offer 
will make her life so much more enjoyable. Now you need to 
tell her exactly what to do next to get the offer. Don't just 
assume she'll click the link or send an email to the email 
address you've listed. 

Spell it out. Tell her to click on the link below today to take 
advantage of the deal!

All you have to do is be dedicated to writing something useful everyday to your subscribers. Even if you don’t have subscribers, write blogs, articles send an email to your subscribers. With time if you make an effort to research and write good content, people will be drawn to what you have to say. Practice makes perfect, don’t worry you really don’t have to be perfect. This is cost effective if you don’t have  the money for a big budget. There so many sites to promote your writings for free and drive traffic to your website. And when you start making sales, you will have already practiced to make killer Ads to draw attention.
2. Write your copy the same way that your talk.
When your writing to your audience you have to be open with them. Don’t try to build an image that your not. Your audience needs to feel like they know you. Talk to them the way you would talk to a friend. Don’t use words that you wouldn’t normally use. If you remain true to you, you will write with passion and your audience will feel it in your words. Just be you and make your writing easy to understand. You need to quit trying to be a perfectionist. The most broke people in marketing are those striving for perfection, coz they’re always wasting time trying g to make things peach perfect and never take massive action.
3. Have great Content that Flows Smoothly.
Most people who write good copy, always write small chapters, paragraphs with a few lines and their sentences are always short 9-10 words. Its creates a smooth flow, that is easy to follow. Long sentences and big paragraphs tend to subconsciously exhaust the reader. Make it easy for your readers to consume what you have to say in small chunks without be overcrowded, bored and confused. Always have a catchy heading,  a great opening statement and use bullet points.
4. Make it Interesting and engaging.
You have to capture the attention of your audience by giving them something that they are interested in hearing. Always start with telling them what they should expect to find in your writing. Give them the juicy details step by step and keeping them reading.
However, most marketers tend to write what they think will please the audience. Don’t be afraid to say what you want to say. With marketing you have to be prepared to loose subscribers. Those who are interested will stay and those who are not will leave saving you time and effort.
You need to focus on people who are interested in what you have to say, engage them, get them thinking and asking questions. People will stay around more if your not afraid to express your opinion and it will add more money in your pocket.
5. Connect emotionally with your Audience.
People connect to each other through stories. Tell your audience your story, how you started, your struggles, and how you got where you are. What’s the story behind your product. They need to understand that you know where they are and you can identify with them. A good marketer has to understand the dynamics of tapping into someone’s’ emotions. Because the majority of people are governed by their emotions.
6. Give a clear call to action.
You need to tell people what to do next after reading your information. People are looking for direction. Don’t be afraid to tell them to click the button and get started. Don’t be afraid to tell them to get their credit cards and sign up. That’s the whole reason your sending them your copy, so be clear on what you want them to do next.
In order to get results you have to write great copy, you don’t have to be a grammar 
specialist, just master the dynamics  and apply them to your writing. Most marketers sometimes get caught in the learning and waiting for things to be perfect. The only way your going to get to the next level is good training, implementation and follow through.

Turning Discouragement Into Determination

Discouragement has been regarded by many as a major setback in the pursuit of happiness and fulfillment.However, discouragement to the discerning is a major weapon of self assessment and evaluation to enable us muster strength and determination.  Below are a few tips to turn your discouragement into determination.

1. Make time to study the  attitudes and actions of those    who have earned great victories in  your world.  Read the biographies of men and women who have overcome adversity and gone on to great success. The more you see how other people experienced similar struggles in their early years, the  more you will reinforce your determination to push past whatever discouragement or setback you are experiencing.



2. Find a coach or a mentor who will help you keep your attitude where it needs to be. A good coach or a mentor will help you keep both failures and successes in perspective.


3. Creating written values, mission and vision statements which spell out who you are and what you want your life to become. Also keep them handy for regular review. When a setback has kept you momentarily disheartened, pull out your written statements and remind yourself of who you are and the emotionally compelling vision you are working to achieve. This will help you refocus on your ultimate destination and reconnect with your passion.


4. Develop a method that enables you put things in perspective at will.Whether you take a drive,listen to soothing music, go for a walk or engage in strenuous exercise. You should develop a mechanism   offers you a way to return your thought to a place where mental clarity and confidence in your vision and restored and reinforced.


5. Finally, the most important way to turn your discouragement to determination is by developing the right attitude towards failure. A failure should trigger a careful moment by moment examination of the thinking, planning and actions that led to the failure.     Painstakingly seek to identify what has gone wrong, so that when you face similar circumstances in future you will be   more effective. You will always learn more from failure than from victory.

                       
In conclusion, if you allow mistakes to stop your from moving forward, you have allowed failure to have the victory. Why in the world would you give the potential of failure of failure itself that much power over your destiny? Don’t do it!

Ensuring Your Dreams Come True


Ensuring your dreams come true entails setting goals. Goals have been said to be dreams with deadlines. Without setting goals our dreams are mere wishes. 


Goals must contain three elements:

  1. Goals Must Be In WritingYour goals must be in writing. If they are not in writing then simply call them what they actually are: desire, wish, hope, one day…
  2. Goals Must Be Better Than Your BestYou cannot have a goal to earn $5,000 every month. You can, however have a goal to earn $60,000 this year.
  3. Goals Must Be ObtainableCan you relate to it? Because if you can relate to it, you probably can achieve it…
  4. Your goals must be: a) written out word for word, b) written in present-tense language, and c) your words must create a strong visual image in your mind’s eye.



The 12th Secret: Ensuring All Your Dreams Come True is realizing that you must,

1. decide what you want

2.  create a plan to achieve what you want, and
3.  your plan (or goal) must be in writing, better than your best, and obtainable.

Assignment: Stop kidding yourself! Either: Invest time to:


1. decide what you want

2. come up with a reasonable plan to get what you want and
3. go to work on the action steps + the acquisition of knowledge (the getting-better-personal-development-part) to get what you want… Or just be honest with yourself and acknowledge the fact that you really don’t want it that bad. Because it really is as simple as Either – Or! Because only when you go to work on your plan, and begin gaining the knowledge, only then will you fully understand what I mean….

Attraction Marketing System what’s that? If like me you have been in Network Marketing for years or  just joined you probably may not have heard of it. 
When I discovered the attraction marketing system it completely revolutionised the way I looked at business Why was this?
As previously mentioned, I have been in Network Marketing for years and have been reasonably successful.  The industry has allowed me to achieve most of my life goals. However I was noticing a massive shift towards the internet in nearly all aspects of business. The old ways of marketing were becoming less and less effective.
Warm market will always be recommended. Talking to friends and family is the first thing that a new distributor is advised to do by their upline. Why?  Because their friends and family know and trust them (normally) . That is what I did and probably you did the same with varying success.
After approaching friends and family (warm market) we then had to advertise (cold market). Did you find this frustrating and expensive? I did, but I persevered for years with advertising (newspapers and online), leaflets, drop cards, 3 foot rule etc etc.
At times it felt like I was working in a call centre and not on my own business because I was making so many phone calls to prospects every day and accepting the huge amount of rejection that goes with the system of massive action in the cold market. Is this the way you feel as well?
In Network Marketing, the duplication of a system is imperative for success. The system that I had been taught and utilised was very time consuming and buying leads from lead brokers was expensive and to be honest, very ineffective. I was not happy with the system that I was using and teaching. Do you feel the same?  And like me are looking for another way, something different than plastering adverts for our opportunities everywhere and anywhere!

 Attraction Marketing – The Huge Difference

Traditional marketing and promotional methods lead with the product, service or business opportunity, in the hope that someone might buy.  An attraction marketing system leads with value-based material. This is such a different approach to the traditional method. Instead of teaching the system of approaching anyone who can ‘mist up a mirror’ as a prospect for your business. In attraction marketing you position yourself as a leader. Someone who can provide value and have an answer to someone’s problems or questions. Basically, they are using your experience as a non paid consultant.
This is such a great way of positioning yourself because YOU         are selling YOURSELF and the benefits of working with YOU! 
You are attracting people to you!

How To Put An Attraction Marketing System in Place

Start leading with value, develop a position of wanting to help people to get what they want. This is done by providing helpful material, answering their questions and providing support and importantly STOPPING selling.  
If you make it evident that you care about solving their problems. Even if you do not do any business together, you establish a relationship of trust. 
By developing ‘trust’ this is done by not leading with your product or opportunity. By asking the question ‘What can you do for them?’ Without expecting anything in return.  You have positioned yourself  a long way from being a ‘salesperson’.  Then continue to provide value to your new contacts, who may over a period of time join your business. As it may be the answer to some of their problems. Why? Because they trust, understand and value you as the leader they are possibly looking for in business.
The attraction marketing system can be used for either an online or offline business. The principles of gaining trust are the same for both methods. However, the power of the internet really enhances the process.  The attraction marketing system can be automated on the internet by the use of autoresponders, websites, capture pages and downloads etc. These provide real advantages over an offline business. An online business can communicate to anywhere in the world, the market place is huge!       

Putting The Tools Together

All systems need tools for them to work. If you are like me, you will be thinking ‘this sounds good’ but-;
  • ‘How do I position myself as a leader?
  • ‘Where do I get all the information that will provide value?’
  • ‘How will I produce this information and in what genre?’
  • How can I compete in the massive world of Internet marketing?’
  • How much will it cost?’
  • Help!’
I carried out due diligence in my search and I believe I found the system that answered all my question plus many, many more.
You may, unlike me, have a huge knowledge of the internet and be able to provide your own valuable content such as webinars and trainings. You may also be excellent at online marketing, where you do not require to invest in training for an attraction marketing system.
However if you are like me, you need to invest in your training with an attraction marketing system. There are a few around, I chose the one that suited me and have taken tremendous value from them. You must choose the one you prefer and then use the content they provide. 
Being part of a paid attraction marketing system can have huge benefits particularly at the outset. This is because you can gain immediate access to complete training webinars and coaching courses produced by top earners. You can sometimes offer this quality content free or heavily discounted to prospects and this can help position yourself as someone of value.

Once you have your attraction marketing system in place. You have positioned yourself as a leader in your niche and branded yourself as unique.

Fundamentally there are ONLY three basic things that have to be mastered to have success. It is really important to carry out due diligence when choosing which Network marketing company to join . Once this has been done then concentrate on the three essentials for success.
I must emphasise that this article quickly covers the three basics.  Each topic that I am going to mention can be broken into many sub-topics. This article covers each one only briefly.
  • Retail the product
Consistently retailing is productive in many ways. It shows that you have belief in the product/company. It is profitable for your business and retailing will help fund the cost of running your network marketing business.  Every company’s product is different and how that product is actually retailed varies considerably. I would suggest that you find a successful retailer in your particular company and duplicate whatever they do. (This could be your mentor)
By retailing your chosen company’s product you gain product knowledge, increase your how to be successful in network marketing - retailing 1business turnover and importantly learn all the ‘pros and cons’ of retailing. The experience that you gain by moving product can be passed onto future team members. The fact that you retail should encourage ‘team members’ to retail (move product) which enhances duplication and profitability. How to succeed in network marketing is dependent on customer sales, the more there are the more money is made. Retail sales are the lifeblood of any company and this should be no different for a network marketing business.
  • Sponsor
Consistently carrying out the required activity to create leads, which are then converted to new team members is essential if you want to build a profitable Network Marketing (MLM) business. Again, every company is different in the way that they recruit. My suggestion is find a ‘mentor’ and duplicate whatever they do to create their leads. And follow their system of converting leads to ‘sign ups’.  The key to how to succeed in network marketing is never ever stop personally sponsoring.  Many people make the mistake of how to succeed in network marketing - sponsorsponsoring a few people into their business and then go into ‘management mode’. 
What does ‘management mode’ mean?  It means that the distributor stops personally recruiting themselves and begins to manage the people that they have already sponsored.  Then they wonder why their team is not growing as fast as they would wish. This is mainly due to the fact that their team duplicates them.  They sponsor a few and then also go into ‘management role’! This means that personal recruitment in the ‘team’ basically comes to a stand still.

Always keep on recruiting personally. Your team members are watching you, if they see you consistently retailing the product and sponsoring. They will see you as a person worth following ‘a leader’. Leading by example!
  • Teach
One of the most important aspects on how to succeed in network marketing is the ability to create duplication in your team. Again it is important to find a mentor (see article) as every network marketing company has a different training regime.
It is worth remembering that every time you speak you are training. This is really relevant when talking to team members. As soon as you sponsor your first person you are a teacher. The experience of their ‘signing’ into the company is important. This is because if it was a pleasurable experience they will hopefully duplicate this when they sign their people in.
Your attendance of meetings/events is essential if you want your team to duplicate and learn. If you are not there, then how can you expect your team to attend?how to succeed in network marketing - teach
Try to be always learning new skills, knowledge and techniques and always remain positive, there is a wealth of information available online and within your company .
How to be successful in network marketing is often just down to being consistent at.
